6th Annual Wintersports History Night

Every year we use this opportunity to honor individuals, groups and associations who have contributed to the rich win-
tersport legacy along the Ebbetts Pass corridor. This year’s presentation will include the Professional Ski Patrol of the 1970′s, early mountain man and wintersport enthusiast Art Schimke, and this year’s recipients of the Peter Brinkman
Award- Jan & Eva Parelius. The Peter Brinkman Award is given to an individual or organization who has significantly con- tributed the growth and development of wintersports along the Hwy 4 corridor. The Parelius’ owned & operated the Bear
Valley Sport Shop and began Bear Valley Cross Country in December 1968. Please come to hear the whole story! Addi- tionally, the event will serve as a reunion for the Mt. Reba/Bear Valley Ski School.
